Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra announces their 2023/24 season

The Illinois Philharmonic recently announced their 2023/24 season where Oswald will be Composer-in-Residence. As part of his residency, he will compose three new works for the IPO. This first for string orchestra will be premiered November 2023 alongside works by Piazzolla and Mozart. His next work will be premiered on a program of all classical era works in April 2024. And the final piece, for symphony orchestra, will be premiered May 2024, alongside Caroline Shaw’s Seven Joys and Beethoven’s gargantuan Symphony No. 9.
