The Pacific Chamber Orchestra has selected Oswald’s piece Beauty despite daylight for their 2022 Dream American Emerging Composers Workshop.

Oswald was selected as the winner of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2022 Classical Evolve Composer Competition and will be the IPO’s Composer-in-Residence for the 2023/24 season.

Oswald was selected as a finalist for the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2022 Classical Evolve Composer Competition where a new orchestral work will be premiered.

Oswald will have his music performed by members of the Tacet(i) Ensemble at Cornell University during their 2022 US tour.

After spending the past few days at the New Music on the Bayou Festival, Oswald was selected as the winner of the Black Bayou Composition Award for his piece for bass clarinet, Aubade with Ashen Clouds, Scarlet Sky.

Oswald was selected for the inaugural Akropolis Chamber Music Institute where he will compose a new work for the ACMI performance artists and start a future collaboration with Akropolis Reed Quintet.

Oswald’s piece Aubade with Ashen Clouds, Scarlet Sky was selected for a Call for Scores from New Music on the Bayou and will be performed during their annual festival from June 1-June 4, 2022.

Oswald’s orchestral work Gia Đình will be performed by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra with Stephanie Childress as the conductor on March 3rd and 4th, 2023.

In collaboration with percussionist Payton MacDonald, Oswald’s “Ngũ Hành” for prepared marimba will be released on Payton’s album “Explorations 54.”

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra premieres Oswald’s orchestral work Gia Đình on February 16, 2022, under the baton of Stephanie Childress.
